The other night, God gave me a dream. In this dream was me and my future husband.
To be completely honest, this dream threw me off a little bit. I am single, content, and not necessarily looking for a "boo" right now. Yet as off setting this dream was, I embraced it.
The dream started with him and I at what seemed to be a dinner party. There was a lot of people. Yet, in a moment, everyone in the background blurred out and the noise diminished. I turned to look at him.
God did not show me his face in the dream. He showed me his heart first.
Immediately this feeling of unquenchable joy saturated my soul. A peace I never felt before sat on me. With in a moment, I was anchored by his love for me.
All I remember is us laughing the night away. And in that moment, I literally felt the Kingdom of God light up inside of me like never before.
Friends, I share this with you because many single people are looking for there "soulmate" and guess what? That's totally fine. God created us for relationship.
"Then the LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him." Genesis 2:18 NLT
I have decided, that until the time that God unveils me to my husband, I will wait. I will continue to walk with God and prepare myself to be a good wife. I will not have any random men in my life that will jeopardize the glorious encounter I will have with my future husband and the abundant and fruitful life we will share together. I work in the entertainment industry with a ton of handsome men, however, you my dear, are worth waiting for.
Friends, let God lead your relationships. If you feel like you are in a relationship, not a marriage, and the presence of God is not longer there, you need to sincerely pray. God may have called you out of that relationship a long time ago and your still stuck in the mud. Don't get stuck. There are certain people that only come into your life for a season. God too has personally designed a spouse for you if that indeed is the desire of your heart.
"Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart." Psalm 37:4
Marriage is a ministry, not a temporary hook up.
You are worth the wait, and so is he or she. Hold out.
